n the ground floor operates a workshop producing Byzantine icons. These icons are illustrated using traditional Byzantine techniques.

The wooden base for each icon is prepared using fabric and natural ingredients. The colour range used is limited to four basic colours and the gold colour is gold leaf 23.75 k., which is applied using "tsikoudia" (local raki) and a burnishing tool.

These icons are reproduced with strict adherence to the specifications and principles of the "Cretan School" and the icons produced are precise replicas of works created in Crete, primarily during the 15th Century.
